Rob Curtis was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s degree in Honors English and a Minor in Russian. He graduated with University Honors from BYU. Rob then moved to Las Vegas with his family. He attended William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV. At law school, he received the CALI Award for “Alternative Dispute Resolution Practicum” taught by the Honorable Anne Traum (current U.S. District Judge for the District of Nevada, appointed by President Joe Biden in 2022). While in law school, Robert was chosen to be an Extern to the Nevada U.S. Attorney’s office, where drafted federal briefs and presented oral arguments in front of U.S. District Court Chief Judge (Ret.) Phillip Pro. Since graduating from law school, Robert has made Nevada his home.
Rob has helped his clients recover millions of dollars in personal injury settlements and awards. He has actively litigated numerous cases in Clark County District Court and Federal Court. He has helped his clients recover, for example, $3 million (traumatic brain injury), $5 million (catastrophic fall injury), $1 million (slip and fall injury), $1 million (biking accident), $1 million (insurance bad faith). He has handled numerous other cases including car accidents, trucking accidents, head injuries, slip/trip and falls, insurance bad faith, security failures, dog bites, medical malpractice, elder abuse, burn victims, motorcycle accidents, product defect, and other types of injury cases.
Additionally, Rob defends his clients when they find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, handling traffic tickets, DUI, Domestic Violence, and other types of criminal cases. Rob also works to ensure his clients secure their legacies by preparing their personalized estate plans, wills, and trusts.
While at BYU, Rob met his wife on a blind date. Her family lives in Las Vegas, so they moved to Las Vegas while Rob attended law school. They have raised four children together and now have one grandchild. Rob and his family love the outdoors – whitewater rafting, camping, fishing, and hiking. Rob was a river guide on the Colorado River for several years and has instilled a love of the desert red rock in his family. Rob has spent his legal career serving the people of Southern Nevada.
